And the Orton and Friedrichs Prizes go to....

In 2016, the Orton Prize for excellence in Anthropology was awarded to Isabel Hanson, who will be spending the summer in the Berkshires, doing ethnographic research on the community health worker programs in North Adams, under the auspices of the Center for Learning in Action.

The Friedrichs Award for excellence in Sociology went to Peter Cihon. Peter defended his Honors’ Thesis on perceptions of privacy this year. He will be continuing his research into changing privacy norms in the digital age at Cambridge University next year, as a recipient of the Herchel Smith Fellowship.

Congratulations and best of luck, Peter and Isabel!
